Last month Apple Inc. introduced its new iPhone the iPhone 4. With it a software update that would set it to compete with the rest of the smartphone market. The features were amazing. "were". Yes, "were". After the latest amazement had sold over 3 MILLION units Apple begun receiving reports and complaints that the latest iPhone became the Latest flop. Now that it has been released there was suspicion of a total recall. But no. Steve jobs announced that a new update to 4.0 was to be set to fix the problem of signal. This update was said to fix the problem of the amount of signal the iPhone said it had, yet user still cry "boo!" on the iPhone 4 and Apple's attempt to solve it.
To put some perspective on the issue Steve Job then turned to other smartphones and said that they too have the same issue and nobody has picked it up or even cared. Tabloids then made a public spectacle of Mr. Jobs passing the blame around. Putting him to shame.
Macworld Australia also mentions this:
Quote:
Apple doesn’t stress, though, is that the iPhone 4′s “danger zone” is in a more-likely-to-be-touched spot than it is on many of its competitors’ phones.

http://www.macworld.com.au/blogs/analysis-apple-takes-on-antenna-issues-13097/Danger zone? Don't forget that the whole iPhone is practically its own antenna. So offcourse if Apple had not ignored one of its senior engineers then they wouldn't have this issue. That's right. In Cnet.com's article on the iPhone debarcle they also mentioned that Apple was aware of the issue right before they even announced the iPhone 4, even if they didn't acknowledge it.
So how to address such a forward issue? Well Apple announced that it will be offering *Free* bumper cases which remove the issues of signal strength. Why the * around free? Well if you have already bought a bumper then you can obtain a refund. So sorry if you already bought a third party case because you aren't eligible. Yet you can still obtain a proper bumper if you wish. And by the way. Apple discontinues the offer at the end of september.
Advice? Don't get an iPhone 4. Yet. The idea is promising even if depressing at this point in time. Apple Inc. is yet to fully fix this issue but at the moment there's no telling how long it will take. So if a case isn't your idea of a hot smartphone. Don't buy it. Already got one? Get a case or return your iFail 4 for a full refund.
